The headlines in today’s news scream of disaster around the world, the unfair suffering, horrific circumstances, astounding loss of life. We each also know of private tragedy which affects family or friends. Why does such tragedy strike? Where is God in all of this? Take this study and gain insight in the crisis situations of life.

  1. What are Satan’s ways of attacking us when we hear or witness devastating times?
  2. Why does God allow us to go through emotional and spiritual valleys in life?
  3. Why do we feel God owes us answers or a life of smooth sailing?
  4. How do horrific situations and times of suffering fit into God’s plan?
  5. “The Lord can be trusted even when He can’t be tracked.” Discuss this statement. (See Psalm 46:10)
  6. How can we take care of our panic and demands for answers in times of crisis?
  7. Share ways we can remain triumphant under intensely stressful times.
  8. How can the Holy Spirit comfort us in times of disaster?
  9. How can we find security when surrounded by insecurity?
